Anal cancer
            Anal cancer is a distinct entity from the more common colorectal cancer. The etiology, risk factors, clinical progression, staging, and treatment are all different.
A common cause of anal cancer is infection by the human papillomavirus. Immunosuppression, which is often associated with H I V infection, also raises the risk of anal cancer.
